Wedding Photography at Truss

Truss is Cleveland's answer to the modern industrial wedding — exposed structural beams, tall windows, brick, and a wide open floor plan that can be styled almost any direction. It photographs with edge: strong lines, dramatic falloff of light, and a distinctly urban personality that suits couples who want something less traditional than a ballroom.

Why Truss Is Perfect for Wedding Photography

Industrial venues live or die by lighting, and that is exactly where an experienced photographer earns their fee. The window wall at Truss gives gorgeous directional daylight during the day, and after sunset the space becomes a blank canvas for intentional off-camera lighting — dramatic, sculpted portraits you cannot get in a bright ballroom. The surrounding neighbourhood adds a second location for night portraits without a drive.

Truss Wedding Photography FAQ

No — but it does require lighting skill. I bring off-camera lighting to every wedding, which turns the open loft into a controlled studio for dramatic, clean night portraits rather than flat snapshots.

Yes. The exterior and nearby streets give strong urban backdrops, and we can step out for ten or fifteen minutes at golden hour or after dark for a completely different look.

It can. I shoot the space for warmth as often as edge — soft window light, close detail, and natural expression read romantic even against brick and steel.

Most couples use a nearby downtown hotel. I photograph preparation there and travel with you to the venue, which is included in full-day coverage.

Yes. Downtown Cleveland is a core part of my service area, so I know which nearby blocks photograph best and how long a portrait detour realistically takes.
